Hello all,
I have some confusion regarding the ETIAS. I plan to travel through Germany in May, entering from the Netherlands. Is the ETIAS needed to travel? The ETIAS website states "The legal procedures to pass the ETIAS have started in 2016, and the system is expected to be launched on January 1, 2022. It will, however, become completely effective and obligatory for travellers only in 2023", but if it has launched what are the requirements? So confusing! If you have experienced this year please let me know what you encountered, thanks!
