Given the current refuge situation, is it possible to get a Bayern ticket from Munich to Salzburg later this week?

Unless the train situation changes, you'll have to go from Salzburg (F.-Hanusch-Platz) to Freilassing Bhf to catch the regional train to Munich. You should be able to purchase the Bayern-Ticket at the Freilassing Bhf.

I need to go the opposite way. Munich to Salzburg. Does the same situation exist in that direction?

Hi Hugh,
I have looked at the DBahn website and am not seeing any cancellations from Sept. 22nd forward for Munich to Salzburg. Perhaps the hotel you are staying at in Munich or Salzburg could advise you of the current situation. I hope someone with more info responds to your inquiry. Good luck.

Meridian, who runs the regional trains from Munich to Salzburg, says that the are running substitute buses from Freilassing to Salzburg, but not the other way.
