Need advice. We would like to drive from Zurich, Switzerland to Florence, Italy at the end of December. Is this a bad idea? I am not too keen about heights or curvy roads but I hear there are tunnels that make it less difficult. We have an SUV with winter tires and chains. Any advice would be appreciated? Or is it better to just take the train. (We are Americans living in Germany.)
