I am scheduled for Rick's Fall report about visiting Poland and Turkey this evening. Since I have a cruise planned for October 2024 that will end in Istanbul, I have a very high interest in this zoom meet.
thanks bostonphil7. I haven't been tracking these webinars and just caught your post in time.
It was very good, wasn't it. Informative and interetsing.
I think an interesting point in the call was that Rick stated that they would now be referring to "Central Europe" as opposed to "Eastern Europe", and the newer guidebooks would reflect that. I noticed that the 2024 tours also are phasing out Eastern in their titles in favor of Central. I had not noticed that before, but I'm sure others have.
What then would be considered Eastern Europe or would there be an Eastern Europe?
I have a cruise booked in 2024 which will end in Istanbul. I have heard that it is one incredible city and it sure looked that way from the webinar.
Germany, Poland, the Czech Republic, Austria, Slovakia, Slovenia, and Hungary constitute Central Europe. So Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Romania, Moldova would be Eastern Europe.

Thank you, that was great to have MNT back after it's summer break.
