I am planing to Santorini next March.looking for some advice . Thank you !
It won't be too cold for sightseeing but still cold for swimming in the sea. No crowds. Prices will be lower. Many establishments still closed. For more information google Santorini in March.
The bigger issue is that Santorini really doesn't wake up until May. Many hotels, restaurants, flight schedules, ferries, etc., are just not functioning at that time. And it can be very cool, rainy, windy in March. Why have you chosen that time to be there?
Maggie, try this link -- http://tours.ricksteves.com/tours/pages/weather.cfm or one of the sites that provide average temperatures around the world, i.e. weatherbase, weather2travel, etc.
It will be dead , cool, and as pointed out a lot of places will not be open yet. What exactly are you wishing to do in Santorini, obviously suntanning and beach days are out.. but I imagine if one just wanted to relax and enjoy the views etc.. it would be fine.. prices would be good too hopefully.
There is a substantial discussion about visiting Santorini in April under the Greece section. If you haven't reviewed these postings, you should.
Thank you very much for all the useful tips.
