I am on a Uniworld river boat cruise in Italy. I took photos on my iPhone and normally when I do that they go to the cloud and then sync with my iPad. I discovered that was not happening and the staff here told me that Uniworld blocks access to iCloud on their Wifi. Does anyone have a work around other than airdropping photos between devices or using an Internet cafe onshore?

Do you have a data plan on your phone? Can you use you your phone as a hotspot when using the data plan?
If you are in a 4G area and your data plan supports 4G, and your iPad is hitchhiking, just turn your phone's cell data on and watch the magic.
Alternatively can you upload to Dropbox and stash the photos there using the wifi on the boat? Or do they block that too (150 passengers all uploading 50 photos a day to whichever cloud they choose)?
Can you pay the boat for "superior" (read "more expensive") wifi?
