WiFi in Ireland

This will be the first time I will bring my notebook on my trip to Ireland. Will I be able to access my email account as I can in the US?

Exactly how do you access your e-mail account in the U.S?

Sorry...I guess I wasn't clear enough. I assume you mean how do you connection to the internet while in Ireland....and that depends on how you connect to the internet in the U.S....

Hopefully you're bringing your notebook for more than email access. There's lots of PC access in hotels/B&Bs/apartments so you can check your email every couple of days without having to bring your own laptop.

Hotels and other businesses in big cities will have WiFi, but if you are going to be in small towns or in the country, you'll have to rely on using the computers in local libraries or internet cafes. I've taken my laptop on both my trips to Ireland, mainly to download, label, and organize photos. A couple of years ago, the only place I stayed at that had WiFi was Trinity College (most of my accommodations were in small towns). I don't remember how much it cost, but it wasn't too expensive. I think I paid 5-10 Euro for a password that was good for three days.

Thanks for the info. All of the B&Bs we are staying in have WiFi. I'm bringing my notebook for email and to download pictures from my camera.

If the B and Bs have Wifi, then you'll be able to access your e-mail exactly the same way as you do at home.
