Why can I not call Ryanair by phone in Canada

I have tried multiple time to call the number on Ryanair's website to change my flight (I booked for the wrong date in error) and no matter what I do it will not go through. It keeps saying that the number is not in service.

Any suggestions or alternative numbers to call Ryanair from Canada would be greatly appreciated, I am starting to panic a little.

Thanks!

Hi Nicole,

As an alternative, have you gone to their website, Manage booking and tried to make the change there?

I think it is because RyanError charges by the minute for customer service calls (and probably puts you on hold for 20 minutes with the clock running) and there is no provision for them to bill you in Canada, so they don't take the call. German Rail also charges for customer service calls and can't bill from the US, but takes the calls anyway.

Yes I did try to make the changes online, however when I get to a certain step it will say that I cannot make the change online and that I have to call them in order to complete the change.

I could see how they would not want a number for Canada if they can't bill Canadian callers. I was really hoping this wasn't the case and there was going to be a simple solution

I think that that used to be the case with Trenitalia's customer service line. People would call it and couldn't get through because it was toll call that couldn't be billed overseas.

This is probably a reach, but...Perhaps you're trying too soon to change the booking online, like within 12-24 hours? (Of course, that blows any '24-hour grace period' possibility out of the water...) For instance, American Airlines doesn't even email your booked itinerary/paid reservation until the day after you've booked it. If you don't know that, it causes quite the panic. 'Oh, no!!! Where's my reservation?!?'

Have you looked all over their website for an email address/different phone number, such as lost and found, luggage questions, etc.? Maybe that would get your foot in the door. Have you tried Googling 'Canadian phone number RyanAir', etc.? Sometimes there are phone numbers not published, but consumer reporter-types find them and print them online :-)

Let us know how this turns out, and good luck.
