where to ski if coming from Venice

Hello! and Help! We are hoping to train to somewhere to ski with our 3 tween kids but we will be starting from Venice the 24th of March, leaving the grandparents, and carrying on to ski Euro style. Are there any reasonable places to ski via train? we have to get back to the states flying out at 12 right now from Milan on the 29th of March That time and place can be changed, I believe. My husband freaked at what the travel agent put together. far too expensive and travel to Cortina via a private van. ..Bed and breakfasts are welcome, we hope for ski in ski out.

The Val Badia in the Dolomites should work, there are a few ski-in out places but evenninnthe villages of Corvara and Colfosco it is easy to get to the lifts. there is shuttle service from Venice Airport. Scroll roll down down on this page to " Transfers from Venezia" and go past the Cortina one to Atla Badia ( La Villa, Corvara, and Colfosco). Try Garni Delta in Colfosco for a low-key inexpensive place to stay. Most places have a minimum stay ( 3 nights to a full, week).
