Where to play chess in London and Paris

Hello everyone,
My husband and I are planning a trip to London and Paris in September 2017 and he would absolutely love to play chess while we are there. He is envisioning strolling through a park and just sitting down and playing with someone like you see in the movies. But, indoors at cafes or pubs would work as well. Does anyone have any recommendations? So far I've found Holland Park in London seems to be a good place.

This article is in French, but the names of the suggested places are in bold/blue, with address given afterwards (the number followed by "e" is the number of the arrondissement/district in which the place is found), and you can google them separately (or click through the links). Also: photos! It's an article entitled "The top spots - guide for cool places to play chess"

It mentions the Luxembourg Gardens and several cafés/bars.
