What about Florida or Caribbean? Not too far if you live in the east. O.K. but you have it under General Europe. You want probably something warmer. Did you try Greece? Albania? Malta?

I was up in the Galilee for a long weekend at the end of March - wonderful. Wildflowers in profusion, migrating storks and cranes, even a few pelicans, There were few tourists at the nature reserves and ancient sites - Crusader ruins, Mameluke ruins, ancient synagogues, remains of a 5th century Roman Byzantine city. March is a great time to visit Israel. While it's usually a bit nippy for sandals and shorts, all you need to keep warm is a fleece jacket. Easy to fit in a side trip to Petra in Jordan.

Next year, Easter falls on the 1 April, so places will be busy and expensive around this time.

You have covered the warmer parts of Europe already.

It's a bit early for Greece - many flights from elsewhere in Europe to the islands don't start until late April or May.

The Azores are OK at that time of year weatherwise. Fuerteventura in the Canary Islands has a very interesting volcanic landscape and has good walks and beaches, but two weeks here would be sufficient.

How long is your trip? Do you want just one base?

Morocco is at its best then and a trip could include a few days on the coast at Essouira, Marrakesh for the history and the souks, then head into the Atlas Mountains.

There is plenty to see in France, from Paris to the wine regions to the coastal regions.
