WILL BE IN BRUSSELS, PARIS, AND VIENNA WOULD LIKE SOME RECOMMENDATIONS ON WHERE TO EAT.
In Paris, amost any boulangerie, sidewalk crepe stand or sandwich stand has good, quick cheap eats while walking around.
I love the Cafe du Marche, recommended by Rick. Have eaten there a lot, brought friends there -- all love it (particularly their duck confit). I love Laduree tea room for lunch.
Angelina's on rue du Rivoli for hot chocolate should not be missed.
The food court at the Louvre is fun.
I second Angleinas, the hot chocolate is not to be missed!
In Paris I enjoyed Cafe du Marche, and I LOVED Laduree. We went there New Years Day 2009. It was freezing outside and we had to stand in line for about 20 minutes before we could get in the door. It was totally worth it.
I got food poisoning from eating at Cafe du Marche. Spent my last 3 days in Paris horribly sick. Granted, it's rare, and can happen other places, but just letting you know.
Places I've enjoyed in Brussels:
La Grande Porte: trad Belgian food, nice neighbourhood restaurant. In the Marolles area which at least one (non-Rick) US guide suggests is some kind of horrific no-go hood, don't believe a word of that.
Aux Armes de Bruxelles and Vincent: the ONLY places in the rue des Bouchers area you should consider eating at, all the rest are dismal tourist traps. Both fairly expensive but very good fish-based cooking.
Le Pre Sale: again a very trad Belgian place, in the Sainte Catherine area to the west of the city centre.
Le Roy d'Espagne: on the Grande Place itself. A bit touristy and you do pay a bit extra for the location, but the food is perfectly acceptable.
