Where else to go in February

My parents are now booked to go to London from the 7th until the 17th. I think I'm leaving with them and showing them my London for the first 3 days or so. After that a friend and I will be moving on somewhere new. But where? I don't want to fo somewhere I've been, which is France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Belgium, Monaco, Vatican city, Holland, Germany, czech republic, austria, switzerland or Luxembourg and obviously UK.
somewhere warmish if possible, Is greece or South Croatia a viable option? Malta is usually only 18 around then. Thanks

Hello Jayne. Greece is not likely to have wonderful weather in February. And you said you have seen most of the countries in Europe. I heard that Cape Town in South Africa is a very pleasant place. British Airways has a flight from London to Johannesburg in South Africa.. And from there fly with the airline of South Africa to Cape Town.

If you don't mind a longish flight and you want something warm & reasonable, check out Mexico. I have friends in the UK who have gone the past few winters cheaper than going some place more local. US flight carriers have deep discount rates right now and the resorts are nowhere near capacity. The drug wars have scared everyone off but it's not the tourists/ tourist areas that are the targets. Just be smart about it (sorry, but avoid Acapulco). The country has arguably the two most beautiful coastlines in the world, the best food & drink, and the warmest people. Check out Barbados/BVI from the UK, St. Martin from Paris, and Aruba from Amsterdam as they all have direct and often discounted flights after NYE. If warm weather is not a requirement, my favorite February destination so far has been Ireland. It was surprisingly mild and green, but the days are short. Good luck in your search!

The Canary Islands have a year-round warm climate and a lot of Europeans go there to get away from their cold weather. I bet there are charter flight offers from London to the Spanish Canaries. Check out their website

If you want warmer than 18, it's Southern Hemisphere or at least below the Tropic of Cancer (Central America, Thailand, Bali . . . ) Even North Africa isn't likely to be warmer than that.

Hi Jayne, 18 C = 64 F. It doesn't get much better than that! I visited Malta five days last January. The weather was terrific except for one windy day while visiting a coastal fishing town. Nice people, great food, interesting sights. City buses will take you almost any place you want to visit. An Easyjet flight out of Gatwick was convenient for us as was the Phoenicia hotel located just outside the old town walls. Enjoy.
