What to do with that travel patch now????

Since my RS Ireland tour has been going on virtually this week without me, what am I to do with my tour patch now???? Add to the collection, or get rid of it as a bad omen (bonfire perhaps)!! What is everybody else doing with theirs?

I’m keeping mine as part of a display of my collection of tour patches. I’ve been on 7 RS tours and have 8 patches. In my pantry on a cork board where I put pretty postcards and photos of my trips.

I threw mine away. It would just be sad a reminder of a cancelled trip that I was so looking forward to doing.

Mine is on my magnetic travel board. It's all part of the travel history.

Sew it onto a washable mask? ; )

I would tend to throw it away if you have some visual display, so that everything in your display is a memory of actual travel.

Three semi-serious options:
1. Draw a red circle-with-line-through symbol over it.
2. Find a coronavirus photo and glue it over the patch.
3. Mount it as usual, but upside down (symbol of distress).

So much of life these days is virtual, but you have an actual patch, which you earned, fair and square, or else you wouldn’t have it. That’s a good omen, proof of your intent, your commitment to the tour, and a sign of better things ahead, whenever that’s going to be. So keep the patch, as your talisman for future travel!

I will give you $5 for it. :-)

It will be added to the pile I have for other years when I did actually travel. It will remind me that things don't always go as planned ( I did not get far enough along in my planning for my RS tour this year to get one), but even when they don't, life goes on and we survive till another day and another travel opportunity arises.

Stan, all of your ideas made me laugh! Although, if I never see a coronavirus image again I'll be very happy, so I might not go for #2. In the spirit of Cyn's positive point (which I love) about it being a talisman for future travel, I'll add a 4th option:

4. "Cross out" the 2020 by making a very obvious 2021 overlay

I modified mine with a small square of a nothing-fancy sticky that says "2021??" (with the question marks)

Love it!!

Love the idea of sewing it on a mask for next years tour AND crossing off the 2020 and putting on 2021! I have a feeling there might be more than one or two face masks on the bus next year!!
