I will be going on a canal trip with other folks in France in Sept. They are all coming home after but I want to spend a week doing something else. Female...alone...middle age..pretty fit....looking for a small tour group to do something for a week. Most anywhere would be OK....maybe something active.....just don't want to be totally alone......looking for suggestions......

I'll bet there are six-day bike tours in France with a small group. That could be fun.

there are a number of multi days tours out of paris. depends what you have already seen. Loire Chateaux is an easy sell; normandy; champagne etc (Cityrama has a whole list and are a long time reliable company).
