What's up with Kayak.com?

The format for flight searches has changed completely. Now an annoying window opens and it offers only RT and one-way flights. No Multi-city option that I can find. It won't let me close that window and stays stubbornly stuck on one search, when I try to change, itcrashes my iPad and I have to start over. Also, the list of airlines and filter options that used to appear down the left sides no longer there.

Did I somehow accidentally download an App on my IPad, or are others finding this too? I am going to quit using Kayak at all because of this.

It must be on the IPad, I'm using a computer and Kayak is the same as always, nothing's changed.

Laura, does the website look wierd on your iPad?

I don't really want another app on myniPad. I don't use kayak for myself ( we don't buy tickets any more, we use miles). I only use it to check prices when I am trying to help someone with airfare questions. I guess I will use ITA matrix for that.

You are right, there is something wrong when you use the web interface on Ipad. I also see no option to select multi-city. It looks like they made some kind of update. You might try reporting it to their tech support. I contacted them once about a bug I found. They fixed it and got back to me.

I've been using the app for a while as it has a feature that the website doesn't. On a multi-city flight, you can filter by stops with a different setting for each leg of the trip.

I just tried it on my iPad, using the app. It gave an option for multi city. When I tried it on the iPad not using the app it didn't give the option.

Andrea, try it again.

Not the app, but what pops up on the pad when you go to kayak.com. From there, go to the 'desktop' option at the bottom.

Works fine, but tedious.

Oh, thank you. I thought it was me and my I-pad.

Thanks for the "desktop view"suggestion, Ed. That did the trick, and it stays on that view when I exit and return. Problem solved..
