What's the best sim card to use while traveling in Central Europe?

We are travel to Central Europe; Budapest, Vienna, Prague & Munich in May.
We want to buy the sim cards there mostly to call each others and contact local businesses there but also want to use data for internet usage too.
Is there any mobile sim card you can recommend?
Is it good idea to buy at the airport?

Also, We will lay over in Paris for 12 hrs. Is it smart to get the sim cards there?

Last year we travelled to Budapest, Vienna, Prague and Germany (Lubeck) using an Orange SIM card we had bought in Belgium where our trip started. Worked perfectly everywhere. We got a text message each time we crossed a border giving details about any changed rates. Was very much set and forget.

We bought it at an Orange shop and they set it up for us in our iPhone. We had to show our passport for the purchase. We got 4GB data, 4000 SMS and 50 minutes for €15. We topped up once over a 5 week trip.

I've used Orange a couple of times. It's functional. I believe they are intended to cross borders on vacation. They're good for 14 days. After that you can stop at an Orange store and add money to keep it going longer (but you have to wait until after 14 days). I bought mine at a boutique in downtown Paris (both times), but I've also purchased SIMs at department stores and kiosks. I always let them load the SIM card and make sure it works before I pay and leave the store.

I've reduced my trips to one country at a time. When I used my Orange in France, I took the cable car from Chamonix to Hellbruner, Italy. My phone notified me I was in Italy but I didn't use it there.

Yup, I also pushed off with this problem. O am travel blogger and I need really good 4G connection in every point of our planet, because it is needed to post quality content in blog. When I travel in Europe I always use a really helpful website with big choice of providers and devices. This means that on usave.co.uk you don't get only the right device, but also choose the right network and tariff.
Top of UK providers are their partners. It is really useful like Vodafone and O2.
Speed access in internet is guaranteed.
Also you can get credit if you need it and on a secret they will return you cashback from your purchase.

I dont know about cards or Central Europe, but when I go to Eastern Europe (Budapest and Prague) my TMobile has worked flawlessly. It has worked in Russia and Sarajevo and all points in between with free data and cheap fast data.
