So you’re referring to the part at the start of the Impressionist paintings, I believe. Interesting music pairing; it obviously made quite an impression on you. Unfortunately, while the Script of each of the Art Series episodes (available here on his Website) lists each and every piece of visual art, in order, and the Script for Episode 6 is posted just below the video screen on the link you posted, the credit for “Music” at the end of the episode simply says “APM Music Library.” No individual credits.

I was intrigued by your question, but my sleuthing has hit a dead end. And I wasn’t previously aware of Shazam, but after doing a search just now on this Website, I see that over the past 11 years, a number of people have posted on this Forum, asking about a particular piece of music on one of Rick’s shows. Shazam’s clearly been around for over a decade, as each question got a response to see whether Shazam could identify the song/tune/passage.

Bets ( L' Occitanie, France ) brought this to my attention , so , I'll make a few comments I did a bit of poking around ,through the work of late nineteenth century French composers ( Ravel , Debussy , Saint-Saens , Franck ,Faure . etc .) but nothing hit . Unless one knows any composition specifically , the trick is to try to narrow things down by compositional style . Even then , the overall quantity of music literature is so vast , it can be like hunting for the proverbial needle . Also ,when music is used in commercial , background applications , it is possible that it is something recent , in the style of the period its meant to represent , While I'm not certain about this , a composition I found online , sounds similar ,with chordal changes much like those on the video . Give this a try - https://youtu.be/3qOeNnhUb4A

I "shazam'ed" it for ya... it's called Early Love by Leo Nissim, looks like contemporary stock/production music they licensed for the show, but a fine tune nonetheless, you can hear it here - https://youtu.be/m3B04aG73UM

BTW you should really look into Shazam, a super helpful app I've been using for years. Shazam can ID songs, movies, and TV shows by cross referencing any short audio sample you record with a vast database of "audio fingerprints".

Carlos, that's it! Thank you so much.

I will definitely have to check out Shazam. I spent far too long searching YouTube for things like, "Waltz in C for piano and cello" or "Romantic age waltz music" and listed to far too many close-but-not-quite-right selections. At one point I was certain it was Chopin, but then began to have my doubts. I even called a friend and played it on the piano in my living room, but he couldn't recognize it either.

Thanks to all who participated in this quest. I know what piece of music I'll be learning next.

Happy to help :-)

Yeah I would imagine an impossible task, like searching for a needle in a haystack lol! Sometimes technology can be quite helpful.

Unfortunately the YouTube video is sponsored by a really weird infomercial. I couldn’t click out if it fast enough. . .

On my android phone I simply go to the search box and at the bottom it says ID this song.
I used it last night at the free Rock and Grill fest on the beach near Fasana, Croatia. We were listening to some good rock and roll (not US or English cover music), all in Croatian. Good music so I wanted to ID it and found out by using that feature.
Then you can link into YouTube videos if you want or other sites with that song.

You'll be disappointed to know that YouTube ads are more targeted by the algorithm tracking the viewer's historical behavior and less by the specific video being watched.

So it was my fault? That is interesting, because the subject of the infomercial—a certain bodily function, shall we say—- was nothing I had even remotely tracked or researched on the web.

I have recently done web research on diet for different, unrelated reasons, such as reducing meat consumption to combat global warming effects of raising beef. So I am offended that the YouTube algorithm thought that ad was somehow relevant. And really annoyed that they can do this at all. For a time, I could not even access YouTube videos on my iPad, because their privacy settings did not meet Apple’s standards. I guess I was better off then.

I am often surprised by the ads I'm fed-on YouTube and elsewhere; the price of progress ;-)
For twelve bucks a month you can get YouTube Premium and NO ads. Of course, for all the great stuff we may find there, YT is still supported by ad dollars.

Lola, I wouldn't say it's your fault. But it's based on a predictive calculation and those miss as often as they hit. My only intention was to express that it's not so based on the content you're watching at the moment. (Though that does play a smaller part.)

I actually do pay for ad-free youtube. And it's really the streaming subscription from which I get the most value.

The YouTube ad comes on before the video. There is a “skip ad” button, but it does not always appear right away.

You can listen to the tune on Spotify without an annoying ad. Just do a search for “Early Love by Leo Nissim”. Very pretty music

Perhaps the best $12 I spend each month.
