I took a break from watching the currency rates for a couple of weeks, and just checked it this morning (we are leaving on Wednesday). YIKES! What's going on? The dollar has dropped about .10 lately.
I lowered the rate while I was going to be in Europe (Nov 6 to Nov 19) but now that I have returned, I'm letting the rate go up again.
Not fair, Lee! ; )
The Wall St Journal always has a lot on this subject as you might guess. The latest predictions are that the euro will continue to strengthen though it won't get as bad as earlier this year.

While it's not exactly the euro, while I was in Costa Rica last week the dollar gained significantly against the Costa Rican colon. When we arrived, the exchange rate was 497 colones to the dollar. Later in the week it was 550 colones to the dollar. Yay!
