Until a couple of hours ago there was the Webmaster's thread asking for feedback on the new format. It was in General Europe and had 47 responses last time I looked. Where has it gone?
If you click the header for the 'Last Post' column, things hop around but it somehow appears, but nothing else seems to be in the right chronological order.
And this thread disappears into space.
Just after my post Travel Forum Feedback, with its 47 posts, reappeared at the top of General Europe, a couple of hours ago.
I have noticed that also. Since it seems to pop back, I am wondering if it is not available during the time that the webmaster may be access it. Earlier I had prepared similar comments only to find it available after I had posted my comment. At least the delete button still works for me.
I think the appearance of links, as well as old threads, is somewhat sporadic right now. I just noticed two items I wanted to read, both of which looked like titles I remembered from the past. I clicked on the first one and read it. It was from months ago. When I came back to same board, the other one was gone.
I just posted something at 9-something AM, but the post is time stamped 4:11 PM today, a time in the future. Is the site now using GMT?
In fact, Norma's original post is time stamped 11:56 AM.
I'm posting this at about 10:40 AM PDT.
Yep, the time stamp for this posting is 4:41 PM (16:41). That's 6 hour different. Greenwich Mean Standard (or Coordinated Universal) Time.
Yes, you're not seeing things.... the feedback thread does pop in and out from time to time, sort of like the Harry Potter ghosts, especially Moaning Myrtle
It's all very disorienting, I wail.
EDIT:
We've noticed all posts moving around a bit.
Our top issues that we are currently working on are the duplicate title issue (presently referred to as "I clicked this new topic and the posts are from 4 years ago" issue) and these randomly moving posts.
Thanks to everyone for your patience. We are definitely working on fixing these bugs. :)
OK. Totally bumfuzzled. Searching for previous threads takes me right back to the helpline. OOPS. Rescue us, please! Not liking this. Have to chuckle that this is happnin same time as ACA issues. Almost too comical! hehehehe
I'll just bet some scramblin going on.
Heh-heh!
Hey - I couldn't post the above, because I didn't use at least 10 characters...something that usually isn't a problem for me...
Best of wishes to your department, Webmaster. We will remain patient.
:)
@Lee,
The problem with the HelpLine displaying GMT is a known issue, so they should be working to correct that.
