What's your Christmas/New Year's wish

I made the topic a question so it will technically 'pass muster'. What I really want to do is wish all of you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. May you be close to your family (either in reality or in thought) and have many blessings to share and count. May the New Year bring you many happy events and fantastic travel adventures. I'll not be around for a few days- having surgery Christmas Eve morning to remove a bunion and fuse my big toe joint. Don't know when I'll be able to be up and at the computer to post much. But I'll follow on my IPad when I can. Blessings, Peace and Joy to all of you, your families and the world. (we all need it)

Good luck to you and quick recovery,, and my wish is my 16 yr old daughter is home for Christmas. She had surgery on the 20th and we hoped she'd be home today but some complications have set in and now we just want her home for Christmas.. she is however recovering so we may likely get our wish!

Toni, Best wishes for Christmas and the New Year, and a speedy recovery from your surgery. I can very much relate to your experience as I've also been in the Hospital post-surgery at this time of year. Many Happy Travels in 2013!

How about the continuation and even expansion of international high school student exchanges? Our village annually hosts six or more students from around the world and it's a fantastic experience both for the incoming students but also the local students. In a small way this promotes world peace and understanding. There's a great video clip focusing on a student from last year at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6q1v6bV2Js0

Hope you can walk easily soon, Toni, and a Merry Christmas to all... less than 3 hours now until the tiny reindeer are pressed into action here in England...

Heal quickly Toni so you can come back onto the RS forums. The moon is shining quite nicely now in Frankfurt, and as I was walking home about 10 min. ago, I am pretty sure I saw a sleigh and reindeer flash across it. It happened so fast, that I am still not totally sure about what I saw, but darn, it sure looked real. So, Nigel, they are are on their way to your house next! Merry Christmas Everyone!
