Well, various (happy) family occurrences have narrowed my choices for a trip to Ireland. I'm constrained to about Nov. 14-21. My plan is to start in Dublin and then go to the Dingle Peninsula, Aran Islands, and Moher Cliffs. I'm not concerned about the weather. I can deal with it; however, it may very well be that accommodations, access to natural sites, transportation may close at the end of this month. Something a minor aside to all this is that the daytime hours are getting short. Earlier today I sent message to Dingle, Aran and Moher info sites about this. I'm posting here to see if anyone has experience with this season restriction, and has had experience working around it.
went there in december and had no problems with any b&b stayed in dingle at the lighthouse b&b very nice also stayed in doolin not too far from cliffs you should not have any problems might be too late to do this but you can call the irish tourist bureau I think in new york and they have a booklet of about 1000 b&b's and they list when they are open/closed from what i do remember most of them open until end of november
While many B&Bs do close for the winter season, you shouldn't have a problem finding an open one just about anywhere. The Cliffs of Moher visitor center is open every day except Christmas (other sites might have reduced hours at this time of year). About the only problem you might have is getting to the Aran Islands. During the winter, the ferries are less frequent, and are governed by the weather. It can sometimes be days between ferries if they get a spell of bad weather that makes the water rough. You might want to have a backup plan for what to do instead if the water is rough.
Sounds encouraging.
