weather in southern France in late August

I"m considering going to Southern France the end of August for two weeks. This would be the Montfaucon area. I don't do well in heat and was wondering if it would be uncomfortably hot and humid during this time? Thanks,
Sharon

Sharon I am going to state the obvious ,why not just google "weather in whatever nearby city in August" . The answer is yes though, August in southern france is hot. And busy , so book now if going.. if you can find what you want, it may not be that easy now.

It's probably one of the hottest times of the year to be in the south of France. I love the heat, but you may find it too much. Mid September might be better if that's an option or perhaps somewhere more north.

We were in Nice last year during the 3rd week of Sept...I had a light knit cardi and a spaghetti strap tank underneath...it was way to hot for the cardi and I had to carry it for a few hrs in the afternoon...bra straps be damned! So yeah, I imagine late Aug will be hot. Just as a ref - I have a facebook friend who lives in Nice - he posted pics of people dining on the beaches on New Years Day (albeit, wearing light sweaters/jackets)!
