My friend now wants to go with me on the Heart of Italy. She is concerned about too much rain in Oct. But I was reading it may be hot in Sept. This all depends on whether I can switch my tours ( Paris too) and we can add her. Thanks

What is the question? Of all of the months in Italy I always thought Oct was the driest and rain mostly a problem in April and May. We have always had good weather in Oct. And it can be hot in Sept but it is much hotter in July and August. Weather is big variable that you cannot predict so you plan to adapt to whatever you get. Remember, the trend for Sept will be cooler especially towards the end of September.

We went on the village italy in oct 2010 and the weather was great. Rain only for portions of 2-3 days. Most tour companies will let you switch tours as long they are not completely filled.
