Waiting for the East Coast blizzard and had to share this. Out to lunch with a group of neighbors today and one woman is leaving for Egypt next week and shared her new found wisdom!!! Did you know airlines are removing seat cushions and all padding to save weight?? As a traveler you are no longer allowed to take any makeup either on board or checked?? If an airline is flying over a Muslim country there can be no alcohol or caffeine on board??. My husband said my tongue was bleeding from.biting it!! I asked where she got this and she said the new TSA rules on the internet. The list goes on and on. I thought we could use a good chuckle todsy.
Obviously from the official TSA site. Yikes.
Afaik there are so called dry airlines which do not serve alcohol on all or some flights. And it makes a difference if "an airline is flying over a Muslim country" or via (e. g. stop-over). Maybe there was a confusion.
I guess it was on the "Interweb" so it must be true! Thanks for the laugh. (Some tears also because of the gullibility of some people.) A little bit of truth and a lot of misinformation.
The thing about relating conversations had with other people is that nuances is left out, stories get embellished, the story teller gets to be the hero of the retelling, and mythologies start from a grain of truth.
There has been the development of slimline seats that so many love and enjoy. And third party manufacturers are always looking to develop thinner and lighter seats -
