Weather affecting travel

I wasn't sure where to put this so I chose "General Europe" although it covers more ground than that.

As we all know, travel can have a major affect on travel. Especially snowy, dreary winters.

But the good news is.....Punxsutawney Phil did NOT see his shadow this morning meaning we should have an early spring.

Happy Groundhog Day.

Happy Groundhog Day to all of you from Germany, (where Groundhog day originates) and it was cloudy this morning. Spring will be here soon, I guess.

Our groundhog (person in a groundhog suit) DID see their shadow in Calgary (well, Balzac), so that means 6 more weeks of winter. However, around here, 6 more weeks WOULD be an early spring. :)

For the record, Phil’s prognostication is confirmed by our own beloved but not as famous rodent Buckeye Chuck. Happy travels this spring! And thanks Ms. Jo for that tidbit. Who knew?

I think I would trust a marmot more, but we'll go with the groundhog. Judging by this eerie 60s climate change weather in Seattle that we are experiencing right now, an early spring wouldn't surprise me.
