Hi fellow travelers... so we´ve been loving Spain, but lost our book today... we leave for Granada Friday, 6-20, and have 2 days there, and then Toledo... we´re bummed because we´ll need it just to get by, but also to really enjoy those cities. Can anyone suggest how to find something on the fly here... if i see u out here traveling... i´m going to beg u for your chapters if u don´t need them. We´re committed to having fun on this special trip...if u have just one suggestion on what to do, or how to do something, pls post...
Lost, sort of, without Rick Steves

Perhaps you could go to your local public library and copy the needed pages.
you can also try www.maribelsguides.com for other helpful tips. Its not R.S. but it will give you great guidelines on what not to miss.
Hi Mary!
That's been a fear of mine--losing my guidebook on a trip. Here's Rick's recommended one-day plan for Granada. "In the morning, tour the cathedral and Royal Chapel (both close 13:00-16:00) and stroll the pedestrian-zone shopping scene. Do the Alhambra in the late afternoon. At sunset be at the San Nicholas viewpoint in the Moorish quarter (the Albayzin), then find the right place for a suitably late dinner. To get advance tickets for the Alhambra order online at www.alhambratickets.com
The TI is tucked away just above Plaza Nueva on Santa Ana street--there is another TI at the entrance of the Alhambra.
Make sure you do the Alhambra in Granada.
In Toledo, some of the sights are currently closed- El Greco's home/museum among them. The Alcazar is being turned into a military museum and to my knowledge remains closed.
Toledo does have some neat things to see:
-Cathedral, perhaps one of the best in Spain
-Museo de Santa Cruz (plenty of El Greco's)
-Sinagoga del Transito- (Mezquita-esque arches in an old Jewish place of worship)
-La Iglesia de Santo Tome- houses El Greco's masterpiece "The Burial of Count Orgaz"
all of these sights are well-marked but you may want to grab a map as you come in to town.
hope this helps
One of the things I did when I was there in 2006 was visit the Arab Baths. The one I went to was called Hamman Arabic Baths at Calle Santa Ana, 16. After two weeks of travel and carrying my pack, this was a very special treat. I think it was about $25.00 at that time.
