we would like to travel to lithuania from the pacific northwest. any idea's you can share with us on the best route to take. we believe the city is vilnus.
Dont know if there are direct flights to Vilnius but there are probably some to Berlin or Helsinko or Warsaw.
From Helsinki, you are a ferry ride from the Baltics (of which Lithuania is one). and maybe 100 miles from Lithuania.
From Warsaw you are an overnight train away. Actually, it is better to train from Warsaw to Suwalki and go directly to Lithuania. Be sure not to have to transit thru Belarus, which requires visa which cannot be obtained at border
If you wanted to expand your trip, you could take a night-train from St. Petersburg. Of course, you would need a Russian visa.
From Finland, you could probably take a ferry to Talinn, Riga or Klaipeda and catch either a train or bus to Vilnius.
