I bought an inexpensive convertible carryon; however it doesn't have a belt strap. Are there waistbelts available that one could purchase which can be hooked to the same rings that the shoulder straps are connected to? I have looked a little on the internet and so far no luck...
It is the size of Rick Steve's carry-on convertible but without the waistbelt (called Outdoor Products Essential Carryon at Campmor http://www.campmor.com/outdoor/gear/Product___60793). I was wondering if I could just get an adjustable waistbelt to help carry the load when out and about.
Jonathan, is there a brand or picture we can see?
I'm a bit confused how big this carry on is. It sounds like a fanny pack??
Jonathan,
Last yaer I was looking for some extra for my backapck and I think I found sites on the internet tahts ell waistbelts, but I can't recall the web site name. Have you try google it?
You can try searching for "backpack accessories? as well.
You might need to do some sewing. I don't believe you can just hook the waistbelt to those rings. It won't be very stable and because of that it might be useless.
I tried to fine waisbelts a few months ago and had no luck. I finally bought an ebags convertible that came with a waistbelt that does exactly what you describe. It clips on and off separately from the backpack straps. Only, I don't think they sell them separately.
However, I just did some searching and came up with the following:
Thanks Bea and Frank! Frank, that is exactly what I was looking for.
