Vueling or Iberia airlines?

Flying Granada Spain to Manchester UK next spring. Choices are Vueling or Iberia.
Price is the same and neither airline has a better schedule.

Can anyone recommend either of these 2 airlines over the other?
Any insight appreciated.

thanks much,
Tom

Vueling is owned by Iberia. If both show seats for the same flight, I would book through Iberia. Used Iberia twice in Europe, no complaints.

I booked a Vueling flight very early and they changed the schedule. They offered a change of flights for free or a complete refund. I took the refund, it came through with no issues. I was impressed with that.

It's the same company and flights are in codeshare with both, so you might think you buy an Iberia flight, but actually it's operated by Vueling, or viceversa.

There are no non stop flights from Granada (GRX) to Manchester (MAN). You will have to fly either via Madrid or Barcelona.

A quick way to see who's operating the flight (Vueling or Iberia), is to see where if your layover to Manchester is in Madrid (MAD) or Barcelona (BCN).

If you fly from GRX to MAN via BCN, both flights are operated by Vueling, although they are with an IB number too as they are in codeshare with Iberia.

If you fly from GRX to MAN via MAD, both flights are operated by Iberia, although they are with an VY number too as they are in codeshare with Vueling.

I'm actually favoring the Iberia route going thru Madrid. Most curious on opinions of either airline based on reliability, running on time, comfort of seats or anything else that anyone would like to share.
Thanks much,
Tom
