Vueling from Rome to Paris?

For those who travelled or know about Vueling, would you recommend this airline?

Do they charge for checked luggage? What is the size bag that is accepted in Europe? I think the one my husband wants to buy for himself is 22".

Eli all this information is on Vuelings website. The 22 inch will be too big for carry on, in fact all the discount airlines have made their carry on size restrictions really tight, and its not so much the length but the depth, Vueling and Easyjet I think say 7 or 8 inches, and I have yet to find a suitcase that thin.. they do this on purpose.
To check a bag on Vueling there is a fee, the trick is to pay the fee when you purchase your ticket, at which point it is about 4.5 euros, if not, when you purchase at boarding the price is more then doubled.

The cheap airlines have to make money somehow, and luggage is the easiest.

Vueling wasn't all that cheap compared to BA from what I've been seeing.

That's ridiculous on the size, because I saw one that is 22" but not that thin.

Eli, I used my dates and all I found from Paris to Rome one way was 350 euros.. plus it flew from Paris to Heathrow to Rome,, that is a terrible price and flight.
Perhaps with your dates you can find better.

Vueling's a great airline as far as price and service go. Their measurements are actually 21.65 inches by 15.74 inches by 7.87 inches. Take a measuring tape with you...you'll find lots of 21 inch roll-aboards that are less than 8 inches deep...look for the ones without external front pockets. As for fares, of course the farther out you can book, the cheaper the flight. Vueling's cost 6 months out start at 73 Euro o/w, and climb as you move back thru the summer months, as expected. Travel mid-week and you'll pay less. However, even at this late date, I could get a flight on 1 April for 83 Euro.
