Visiting Malta

Hello guys, me and my girlfriend will be visiting Malta in late August/early September for our annual summer vacation. After considering many countries, we chose yours. I have some questions about our trip.

Apart from the well known tourist attractions, what are some hidden gem places that we should visit?

I'll be renting a car, it drains me to search and wait for buses, ubers or taxis. I was looking through the rental car companies that are located in the airport and I saw that pretty much every one of them has bad reviews. Which car rental company can you recommend me?

We always like to blend in with the people of the country that we are in. Are there any important facts for us to know for the country rules, the way people are and so on?

I would also love to hear which beaches are the best in Malta. We will be able to go anywhere in the island so it doesn't matter where it will be located.

Moreover, can we find a job in Malta during this visit? If yes, can we make enough so that we can save some.

Thank you so much for the support, I can't wait to visit your country and learn about the Maltese culture.

1- Not unknown, but I don’t really see a lot of people going here: Chinese Garden of Serenity and Zurrieq

2- I always use discovercars
when I travel and never had any issues

3- People are generally tired of tourists to be completely honest, don’t know what to recommend here. I’d honestly suggest maybe booking a traditional Maltese cooking lesson or something similar to get to understand some part of Malta better(in this case the cuisine).

4- Gneja bay, paradise bay, the blue lagoon

5- And yes you can find a job, if you are an EU national, it will not be a problem, just reply to LinkedIn posts.

6- If you are a 3rd country national (non-EU), your employer will need to get work/residency permits. This can take some time, depending on your skills.

7- Savings will always be up to your lifestyle, but you can make enough to save a piece even if you get a minimum wage. You can [find more information about minimum wages in Malta for every sector here][1].

Hope it helps
