Just to be extra sure, I would check the U.S. State Department website as well as the U.K. Home Office website to make sure there are no restrictions. I have recently read reports about the visa waiver program (the agreement that allows visa-free travel between U.S. and European countries for their citizens) being modified with respect to citizens with ties to certain countries in the Middle East. I believe the U.S. recently began requiring Europeans with ties to these countries to apply for a visa, and some European Union countries have considered doing the same out of reciprocity.
I very much hope that is not the case for you, but I would double check just to be sure! :)
