Norm, love it - thanks for taking the time and effort to post this!

I especially enjoyed the photos of Madrid, as we're leaving for Spain in a week and a half. By the way, I've read a number of archived posts to get more information about this and that, and your name kept popping up as a regular responder. So thanks for all that information, too!

I definitely use Google Maps with Street View for my research. It helps a lot when it comes to walk tours and trying to get the sense of distance from one place to another. You can actually create your own maps for, say, Rome night walk tour and print out all the walking directions.
