Virtual Cooking Class & Tour--Brunch in Europe from Eating Europe

As a holiday gift, my husband and I bought an Eating Europe Virtual Cooking Class and Tour. They had a special of buy one and get one free in December. Well today, we finally took the class of Brunch across Europe with my cousins (who are across town). We visited the kitchen of one of guides in Florence to make a Frittata and learn about some of the food of Florence. Then we traveled to London to make my new favorite brunch cocktail a Rosemary Gin Fizz. Our final stop was Amsterdam to make the famous Dutch pancakes from our guide's family recipe. Everything was delicious and other than the cocktail, we have left overs.

It was a small class and very interactive. The instructions were easy to follow and the ingredients were easy to find a my local stores. The zoom call was well moderated and the guides had close ups of the cooking process. It was a welcome change of pace and a great day to start a Sunday morning.

Sounds like fun! Was this offered by someone on the RS Marketplace?

No it is offered through Eating Europe at https://www.eatingeurope.com/. They offer food tours through out Europe. Have have taken their food tours in Rome, Florence, and London and really enjoyed them, so decided to take a virtual cooking class.

In fact when I went to this link just now to copy their website url for this post. I saw that they are offering a free zoom class on how to make Tiramisu on Saturday February 6th at 12 p.m. EST from a guide in Tuscany. Note this may be only a limited time offer, but thought I would add this if any one picks up this post on 1/31/21 at 2:00 pm pacific time and wants to check out if it is still available.

SandyO, thank you for the information and the link! I just got in under the 2pm PST time, and got enrolled. We’ve been taking virtual lessons from a woman in Tuscany, and Tiramisu was one of the items a month ago. Our store was out of ladyfingers, so we whipped up egg yolks and made our own. This’ll be nice to get an additional take on tiramisu.

Happy cooking, and happier eating and drinking!

Just signed up too and I am MST ! We took a wonderful food tour with them in Rome a year ago New Years’ week. Now I have to convert the grams before I go shopping!

Suki & Cyn

I just finished eating the Tiramisu from the class today. Were the two of you able to join? If so, did you enjoy it.

You ate the whole thing! Certainly understandable.
I was there and really enjoyed it, thanks to your post. Beatrice did an excellent job explaining, making the dish quite do-able. I didn’t cook along because, having just come back from overseas (long story) I forgot to order the ingredients, and can’t go to the store due to quarantine. But I am going to make the Valentine’s Day version for next weekend. What other classes have you done or will you do?

Hi Bets,

I didn’t actually eat it all, I shared it with my neighbors. I hope you enjoy the tiramisu when you make it. What I really enjoyed is that it wasn’t too sweet.

As for the other classes, I actually purchased three for gifts during the holidays when they had buy one get one free. I have been taking the classes with the friends I bought the gifts for. Other than the one today, I have only taken the brunch across Europe. I have one scheduled with my friends for Spirito di Vino as it was a restaurant that we visited in Rome. The other class, I am still waiting to schedule with my niece, it will be her choice on what is most interesting.
