Has anyone done the Cities of Light 12 day river cruise ?

Elegant Elbe from Berlin to Prague 8 days
Which ones are more interesting
this is my first time cruising and I wanted to do a shorter one but open to both
I love history and of course beautiful sites -
My question is which one to do
and again my question is - is it worth paying extra for the veranda or French balcony rooms - or is standard good enough. Plan to go in early October .
I am aware I can go to the cruise critic for information - but I find it rather overwhelming
