We have decided to skip London on our Oct/Nov trip this year and do Italy (Milan, Venice, Cinque Terre). Any advice on what to expect there weatherwise? I love cool weather but have trouble tolerating anything in the 40's with wind.

We had very nice weather mid October in Venice (one night of very light mist) and late October in CT, a mix of sunny and light overcast. Milan is more likely to be cold in the later months.

That is good to know and not at all what I expected. We were considering spending more time in either Venice or Milan sacrificing time in the other. Sounds like Venice might be a winner?
