My husband and I will be in Italy during December and will spend a few days in Rome. Would like to stay near St. Peters
but don't want to spend 500.00 a nite. Any suggestions for a room 200-350 max?

We will be in Rome in Dec too, and found an apartment thru VRBO.com for less than 200 euros per night. It's generally cheaper in early Dec with high season rates in effect from about Dec 22 to New Years. Try VRBO or Venire.com. should come up with something affordable. You can stay near Vatican or, my preference, near Piazza Navona, which is about a 20 minute walk to St. Peters and close to many other sites of interest.
