Valletta, Malta B&B or other lodging recommendations

Posting here since Malta doesn't have its own forum. I am in the beginning research stage of planning a 2023 April trip to Malta for three, possibly 4 people. From searching previous forum posts about Malta, many people recommend staying in Valletta. Can anyone give me any specific lodging recommendations that worked well for you? I am open to looking at B&Bs, hotels, or Air BnB. Hoping to find a place that includes breakfast. We would need two rooms, a double and a twin. I will do my own searches but I always like to start with places that folks here on the forum personally recommend from their own travel experiences.

It's been several days with no replies so I will bump this up - Anyone with personal recommendations of BnB/hotel/holiday rental in Valletta? Has anyone taken the ferry from Malta to Pozzallo, Sicily? I am considering combining this Malta trip with Sicily or Puglia. If I go to Sicily I want to go to Scicli which is close to Pozzallo.

Here is a link to my review of Osborne Hotel on Google Maps

We stayed at the start of or trip last summer, and then onward to Palermo. If the link fails, here's a copy of the review. (The review has pictures.)

The location in Valetta was perfect for our first trip to Malta and we stayed 4 nights before heading on to Sicily. Convenient to the sites we could walk to, and easy to call an E-Cab. Also, just around the corner and down 162 steps and a short walk to the nearby ferry. If Ronnie is there when you check in, it will be a great start to your stay. Truly an excellent representative of the hotel at the front desk. Would have given it 5 stars if the A/C would have been a bit better at handling the humidity from showers or if they would change out the window in the bathroom to a power vent.

We spent two and a half weeks in Malta in 2020. We opted to stay in Sliema rather than Valletta because it seemed more like a neighborhood than a tourist destination. If your time is short, Valletta is probably better. Sliema had good transportation connections to Valetta by either bus or ferry. It was a pretty short trip either way.

We booked a two-bedroom apartment with a nice kitchen at Pebbles Boutique Aparthotel. It's above a bar but our apartment was in the back of the hotel so there wasn't any noise - we had a nice view of the bay. That location is perfect for transportation connections and many restaurants. There is a grocery store nearby and we bought things for breakfast - kitchen was well-equipped.

We did a day trip to Gozo, Rabat, etc.

From there we flew Air Malta to Catania and spent time in Ortygia.
