Having been in Europe, and relying on only my I-Phone to access this Forum, I was unable to find the Search function on the I-Phone. I'm sure the answer is glaringly obvious, but where is the Search feature?
I don't think RS has an app, right? We are all accessing the regular RS site.
Also, how does one find the most recent posts when one does a Search [from a laptop]? Each time I do a Search, I end up with the oldest posts first.
I do think the RS Search features could be updated and more user-friendly.
Thanks to all!
After you choose a search work/phrase and click, you are given a list of filters. After you choose from that list, you will see a list to filter by date.
The filter by date list shows below the TYPE list on my tablet, but I need to choose a TYPE on my phone to see the FILTER BY DATE list.

Pat, I've never found a way to sort search results by most recent date using my laptop. The closest thing is to choose "6 months and newer" under "Filter by date." That eliminates the oldest posts but what comes up isn't in newest-to-oldest order.
I don't currently use the site on my phone at all (have an issue getting logged in that I need to resolve) but on the opening public page (I'm not using an app, just the regular website; Safari browser) there's both a browse and search function.
Pat, to access the search feature, look at the top left of the RS site on your phone screen. On the blue bar are 5 small white horizontal lines. Clicking this brings up the menu, and the search box is at the top. I could not find this for months when reading it on my phone. It is easy to miss. Hope this helps.
I generally use Google instead, including ricksteves.com/travel-forum in the search string.
