I am asking for further clarification to an earlier post about using US radios in Europe. It sounded like FM stations would work, but I have checked some other websites with information indicating there might be problems. I would like to send a LobeMan FM radio to a friend in the Netherlands. It runs on a battery and fits in your ear and am wondering if anyone has had any experience with a radio like this. Thanks!
There shouldn't be a problem with FM radios. It's the AM band that has different frequency spacing in Europe.
Tricia,
You might want to read some of the reviews on Amazon. Some LobeMan users weren't entirely pleased with the device.
Cheers!
Hi Tricia, I'm not so sure about FM in Europe... I took my SanDisc Sansa MP3 player which has an FM radio function with me and was unable to get any FM stations in France. I don't recall trying the radio function elsewhere in Europe, but I was out of luck in Paris. I did Google on the subject and it would appear that I should have been able to receive broadcasts, so don't know the final answer, but can only report my own unsuccessful efforts.
