Traveling from Barcelona to Figueres. Plan on using my NUVI 255 GPS. Any problems in use. Application in US has been very easy

I'm not sure if the 255 has a Europe map pre-loaded: if it does, I can't think of a reason why it wouldn't work in Spain. If it doesn't have a Europe map, it won't work in Europe, unless you add a Europe map.

Thanks, I need to load the Europe card. Big cities can be very intimidating with som many one way streets. I am hoping with the NUVI we can do a little better job of getting out of Barcelona and returing in the evening.

I have a Nuvi 250 (I think?) that had Europe preloaded.
If it's not new, I would suggest updating the maps.
That said I used mine this May and it worked great. I won't drive in Europe without it anymore. Just SO much easier then my mother's horrid map navigation!

If you are travelling directly from Barcelona Airport to Figueres, be aware that a completely new terminal 1 just opened in Barcelona Airport. It's located quite far away from the old terminal, and the road network around it is not on any GPS's yet. From the airport, just follow the signs to Girona, and ignore your GPS for the first few kilometers. Otherwise Girona is signposted all the way form the airport.
