Event: The conflict between Israel and Iran has resulted in disruptions to travel and periodic closure of airspace across the Middle East. There is the potential for demonstrations against U.S. citizens and interests abroad. The Department of State advises U.S. citizens worldwide to exercise increased caution. April last year we were booked Istanbul to Kuala Lumpur. The flight was a few hours latr leaving and once in the air the flight took longer than it was scheduled to. Once on the ground I discovered that Israel and Iran were shooting at each other and our flight should have gone directly over Iran but was diverted around. So that's the sort of issue (one of them) being discussed in the advisory.
