We are using miles having saved for years; hence, fortunate to be flying from Calif to arriving on Fri at 630p in Venice for the Redentorre weekend feast. Have to decide how many nights in VCE, 3 or 4, then train to FlR, again unsure yet how many nights, then train to RME a few days to flying out to a week in London. Suggestions welcome. Arrive VCE 630p Fri after flight from Calif, then fly from Rome to London 9 days later at 6pm. FYI - not religious: love architecture, art and being in the city as live rurally.

Unless you have something special about the 3 different cities (Venice, Florence, Rome), a 3/3/3 split isn't that bad. It could be 3 days/2 nights in one and 4 days/3nights in another. Just be cautious in getting to FCO in time for your flight to London. Its great that you have a later flight out but it takes about 30 minutes on the Leonardo express and you probably should be there 2 hours early for the domestic EU flight. You can often get away with less but if the lines are long...
