Unlimited Travel

Hello. I am trying to travel the globe. Literally. Before I die I'd like to visit every country, continent, hemisphere. I think human beings should not be tied down to their birthplace. We were meant from the beginning to explore and reach out to find new environments and cultures. I have done a little searching and was just curious to find a country that does not have a set time of travel. I would love to spend a year in Germany, but I'm restricted to three months. Not only in Germany but the whole EU. With the exception of the Common Travel Area. With this example is there a country, or continent where these rules do not apply?

Since mankind has come to a technological infrastructure which incorporates the whole world, would it be a far fetched idea that would include the distribution not only of information, but of mankind itself? I understand the political, religious, and cultural dilemmas which would hinder the prospect, but I myself would overlook such intricacies which would allow a better flow of culture.

You must be independently wealthy? I'd have to give the matter some thought, but most (all?) countries have limits on the length of stay, so you'd have to familiarize yourself with those for every country you plan to visit. If you want to stay for a year in Germany, I'd suggest contacting the nearest German Embassy, as they'll be able to provide information on how you can do that. You'll almost certainly have to prove that you can support yourself financially during that time, and also have medical insurance for the duration of your stay.

Unfortunately we live in a bureaucratic world now, and it's getting more so every day.

...and if your intent was to work in the places you stay, then that presents an entirely different situation...for the worse.

There's a couple hundred nations in the world. Spending a year in each might not be possible unless you're very young.

When we last saw you, your plan was to spend 2014 backpacking around Europe. Is that what you're doing now? How is that working out for you? Are you getting much landscaping work?

Paul,

i think it would be an interesting way to live a life if thats how you want to do it.

I find comfort in having roots and a family even if its not my own offspring. I can understand wanting to travel and working to make it affordable and workable, but as you know, there are others not wanting to allow it to happen.

good luck and happy trails.

If I knew of such a magical, visa-free place in Europe, I would be there now. Not familiar with the rules on other continents, but each country is sure to have rules.
