United Flight Sale

Just wanted to give everyone a heads-up that United is having a great sale on flights to Europe through March 31, 2017. I just booked a multi city flight, St. Louis to Venice and then Florence to St. Louis for $750 including fees. Flying out of larger US cities is even cheaper. Happy travels!

It might be across the board. I scored a BritishAirways ticket, on my favorite flight, from Boston to Athens, RT, also for $750.00, which is down from averaging between $1100.00-1400.00. With some Avios, my ticket actually cost $498.00, before I reserved one seat. I was thinking it was 1998 again...

Katy,
I'll echo your recommendation to check out the fares. I did some spot checking after I received the email from United yesterday, and there are some REAL values to be found, even on some of the two-leg journeys (which would be one leg for those in the hub cities). And a few of the business class fares are incredible deals, but those vary by attractiveness of the routings.

great prices, especially from STL! Wish I were ready to fly back to Europe. Hope I can find these prices in 2018!

American Airlines also in this period. The same prices they had the beginning of the month. In my case that's from Philadelphia to London non-stop and something else non-stop back, fro, 580 to mid 600s.

Is this a coordinated attempt to bankrupt me? Saw the United sale earlier this month and booked RT to Paris for September ... and now toying with the idea of Italy in March. Should I look for a chapter of Travelers Anonymous ? (Or Tourists Anonymous ?) Haven't even fully unpacked from my April-May trip !

EDIT: July 22. Somehow, Italy got changed to Austria so we're booked into Vienna and out of Munich in March of next year for about $750 each from SFO.

Laura, I was so excited to get this second chance at booking a great deal! I hesitated when they ran a similar several weeks ago and I've been kicking myself ever since. I learned my lesson and booked first thing this morning when I got the e-mail from United!

And you should definitely just go ahead and book a flight for Italy in March! :)

Iceland air, 800 round trip in may/june from Minneapolis to Glasgow and back (layover for any length in Iceland for no extra cost. Actually less expensive to stay extra days. In some cases. The savings covers hotel costs.)

I've been looking at Air Transat from Toronto for dates next September (they're already posted and selling) and many flights are about $800CAD, up to about $1000 depending on route. After reading this, I checked some June dates to Paris and they are $726CAD. Fairly good.

12 Step meetings ongoing here in Atlanta - none of us are trying to stop our addictive behavior though. Actually we help each other plan interesting itineraries and listen to trip reports! Hmm.

I have 2 trips - RS 17 Days in Italy this October and RS 7 Days in Rome tour in March 2017. Possible trip to Scotland in Sept 2017. Then Israel/Jordan in 2018. No hope for me, travel is in my blood!

Happy Travels,
