The link also has info about passport processing. Progress is being made on the backlog ( 1st in --1st out)

Even with ~140k new applications per week the backlog is shrinking by about 100k per week. The only expedited service is the 'life or death' emergency

But, those countries are still not letting US in. So does it really matter right now?

Exactly, Jane! By itself it doesn’t necessarily change travel for us, but it is a small movement in the right direction.

James, interesting article in The Economist this week relating to some of those countries on your list: not as stated
Short summary is governments not telling the truth about COVID infection rates and general disregard for prevention. The full article in the print version is much more detailed. Just providing information here.

Yep. I understand. And not surprised at all. It was really for other folks to consider, that just because a country is in Europe, doesnt meant it is more civilized and well run.

Very very small, if at all. The best movement in the right direction would be to get our infection rate down.
