After a 3 week stay in Paris, I depart Paris on October 30th. My return flight to the U.S. departs Brussels on November 2nd which means I have two days to fill with one last adventure, somewhere between Paris and Brussels. I will not have a car. I will have already explored Belgium. Any suggestions?

I haven't been, but a friend spent several days in Lille and enjoyed them. It's also right in between Paris and Brussels, so it's logistically easy.
