Tweezers/Towel

For Italy...Can I take tweezers in my carry on?
Also...Should I bring a towel for the times we go to the beach? Or do hotels have them to borrow?

I have always brought tweezers in my purse on the plane with no problem. don't know about the towel situation, but I wouldn't pack one.

Never tried the tweezers as here they are confiscated. Don't seem to be so strict in Europe so you'll probably be OK. With the towel some hotels may have them for guests use and others not. What a friend of mine does is pack a sarong and use that as a towel. It's a lot less bulky and can double as a cover up.

When departing the USA you should have no problem taking tweezers in your hand luggage. On your return flight it varies according to country and airport, so it may be a good idea to pack them in your hold luggage for the return. As for beach towels, many hotels and guest houses do discourage guests from taking towels from the room to use on the beach. It's not a real problem, beach towels can be bought for peanuts from most beach front shops or vendors, throw them away at the end of the vacation.
