Has anyone been in a jam and used the TSA Mail Safe Program? Any problems, comments or concerns?

What is it? can you provide the high points? Sounds like beign able to mail home anything you are not allowed to take - from the sec check point?

The TSA "Mailsafe Program" allows pax (passengers), with the assistance of a transportation security officer, to mail prohibited items home or on to their destination. They claim it takes under two minutes to complete.
The Officer escorts the pax to an ATM looking kiosk, while maintaining control of the item, then places item in an envelope and into the kiosk.
Pax key in mail info, swipe credit card, then proceds through security.
The cost of this servise starts at $8.95 US plus postage.
